Talk about a fun project! I had a great time making this demo for Sketch Sounds because I was able to see a ballroom get transformed by this skilled team of people. We’re so used to walking into a fully decorated and lit reception that sometimes we don’t realize what actually goes into the production.

We shot this demo from the time the Sketch Sounds team arrived through the end of the party, and WOW was it a blast! When making this film, my goal was to show potential clients how much detail and effort Sketch Sounds puts into an event. These guys definitely showed off their experience in this video.

I wanted to write about this Wedding because Ashmi & Raghav made their film really interesting. This trailer was made with voice overs of both Ashmi & Raghav. In this film, I chose the song Stay With You by John Legend as this was the couple’s first dance song.

After spending only a limited amount of time with this couple, I felt like I knew them for years! I think after you watch the trailer, you will feel like you know the couple a little better as well. They made the trailer personal to them. When I did their morning interviews, I asked them what they liked most. They both instantly answered, “food.”

Ashmi & Raghav love trying new restaurants, and Raghav mentions in the film that they chose Italy as their honeymoon spot, mainly because of their love for Italian cuisine. It was definitely a personal film, and I enjoyed making something that felt so close to the couple.

The Sangeet, Wedding and Reception took place in downtown Atlanta, GA at the Sheraton Gateway hotel.

Everything at this wedding was amazing! The decor, the DJ, the lighting, and most of all, the couple. Kanwal was the most fun bride I have met in a long time. It made my job easy! There is nothing like working with a fun loving, energetic couple like Kanwal & Rahym. They really knew how to relax and have a great time. Separately, they are wonderful people, but together, even better. This couple is so in love and when you watch the film, it definitely shows.

Lake Lanier Islands, a gorgeous location to have a reception. But to add more to the scenery, Shushil Patel of Utopian Events designed an absolutely stunning reception for Kanwal & Rahym. Just take a look at all the fresh floral arrangements, purple sashes, and silver chivari chairs. Shushil and his team definitely made this a stunning reception.

Kanwal & Rahym had a great time dancing to the tunes of Sketch Sound Productions. DJ Sketch (Neil Mirchandani) rocked the party and had the dance floor packed all night long. They did some beautiful matching lighting in the room and it made for some great film on the dance floor. I was able to capture some really nice dance footage because of the lighting. So good job, Sketch Sounds!

Kanwal & Rahym were hospitable, calm, and so much fun to work with. I really couldn’t ask for more in a couple. I always put in my 150% when shooting and editing, but I wanted to go that extra mile for them because they were just so great.

The music in the trailer is Better Together by Jack Johnson. This was chosen because it was Kanwal & Rahym’s first dance song. The second song, Moondance by Michael Buble was my choice because Kanwal and I both agree that Michael Buble has a fantastic voice. I always have fun pondering what song I will use in a trailer before I begin editing and Moondance just popped out at me. It’s a singer Kanwal likes and the song has so much meaning to the setting of the reception.
